The blue is an icy aqua and it is all very elegant looking. I think this will hold up very well-- I've been searching for weeks for the perfect comforter set and this one is ideal. It is not thin but actually has some nice filling to it--- especially looks nice with my down comforter beneath it. HOWEVER, the description implies that the Euro shams are included.
