It does shed a little bit but I was anticipating it because from previous experience, all faux fur tends to shed to an extent. Unless you're extra picky, I don't think this matters a whole lot because the white inner backing is soft and keeps me warm. The zipper opening is also sewed well so my comforter fits nicely. When I lay it on my bed with the pillows, it looks similar to the photos on the listing.
