Amazon.com Product Description

Whether you need a good camping mattress or an extra bed for guests, the twin-sized Coleman Grand Canyon double-high Quickbed is a great choice. The lightweight bed is custom designed for a good night's sleep, with a 21-coil ComfortSmart coil system, an extra-tall body that inflates to the height of a regular mattress, and a soft suede top for extra comfort. Comfort is further guaranteed by Coleman's AirTight system, which features a double-lock valve that locks in air twice, ensuring a leak-proof performance through the years. No more waking up on the cold, hard ground after a night of slow air release. And campers who are pressed for time will love the built-in 120-volt pump, which inflates and deflates the mattress in no time.

The Grand Canyon is also extremely durable and easy to store. The mattress is made of Coleman's heavy-duty PVC formula, which is 15 percent more puncture-resistant than the competition. The Grand Canyon's Wrap 'n' Roll construction, meanwhile, makes packing up a breeze: just roll it into the attached carrier, tie it, and transport it. Designed to fit all twin queen-sized sheets, the Grand Canyon measures 74 by 18 by 39 inches (W x H x D).

The Wrap 'n' Roll construction lets you quickly pick up the bed and go.

About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.

In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

I purchased this for an out-of-town-visitor and it performed well for the week. It didn't deflate until I said so, and was functional as a place to sleep, which apparently is an awful lot to ask of an inflatable bed.

It was moderately comfortable, and seemed higher than the Intex Queen I had purchased a few years back. Plus, it has an ever so slightly raised baffle surrounding the entire bed in case you are worried about rolling off in the night. I read the reviews, it happens.

The bed inflated and deflated easily with the pump and storing it was simple. I liked the design of this bed without the "built-in" pillow. I don't know about you, but I like a real pillow that I can thrash around or smash up in a ball when I sleep. Could be just me.

I would definitely recommend the electric pump that this one comes with. It will make you happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solved Small Spaces Problem!, November 14, 2010

Tried out the Coleman Twin Double-High Quickbed for 1st time when my son & grandkid stayed for a few nights. My house is a small cluttered cracker-box - with not much room for sleep-over visitors. I was pleasantly surprised how the bed was so easy to inflate and how light it was. It took up a lot less space than I'd figured. Much easier than dragging out floor pads from shed, bending over to make up bedding, etc. With the Quickbed - fitted twin & top sheets fit perfectly and, because of the height, no bending over! I like the way it fits into a small self-contained bag when it's deflated. Stores in very small space. Since it has been only used once - for a few days - I'll see how long it will last. Word of warning: My son DID fall off the bed during one of the nights - otherwise he said it was very comfortable.

This worked good in a double room at a hotel that didn't allow rollaway beds. It inflated in minutes. Sleeps better if you use a mattress pad, but I had no problems. Does stretch some so by morning it may feel like its lost air but I don't think that was the case. The next morning it only took minutes to deflate, fold and roll it up into its own attached bag. I highly recommend it. The only thing I didn't care for was the initial vinyl smell. I suggest you inflate it once or twice before you use it for the first time. Other than that I love it.
